The Nirvana material board series is a collection of different materials that have had graphics applied to them using a range of different processes.

We approached a number of designers to chose a material to work with and gave them a choice of processes which they could apply to this material.  An area within an A5 size  frame was given to each to then put their design to, it was then down to Nirvana to get these produced.

The first in the series was a piece of Ash wood that was laser engraved, YCN who put forward designer Matt Busher of Mandatory Thinking, who created the pattern which when caught at the right angle reads “Oh that’s quite nice”
