1001To promote a new range of smartphones, Sony Ericsson wanted to send exclusively packaged devices to a number of retail store managers. The company asked us to produce dummy book packs to contain the new devices. Each package looked like a case-bound book, with 16 pages of text at the front and a phone concealed in the back section.

The cover was a printable cloth material to which 3 versions were printed and all foil blocked with the book title. The text section was digitally printed and Singer-sewn bound. The phones were hidden in a die cut text block in the back pages and held in place with routed high density foam. This was all case bound together, with the achieved desired final book effect.
