Material Board 04: Laser Cut Triplexed Felt with Rubber by Demelza Hill

In our growing series of materials and process boards, we collaborate with graphic or product designers, as well as artists, to build an inspiring and useful reference library for our clients. Board 04 was created with product designer Demelza Hill, who has worked at the Tom Dixon studio.

The board was produced by triplexing felt, with two layers of rubber. Our Nirvana brand pattern was screen printed on one side, with the copy debossed into the rubber. A coaster was then cut in the centre, using a super fine laser router, which allowed for a particularly intricate design.
