Fedrigoni 365 in an annual calendar which forms a beautiful visual story documenting 365 single colour designs from the leading UK based creatives, this years calendar was created as either a literary or abstract interpretation of a date.
Nirvana were given the date 19th July, so we took inspiration from an epiphany from Johannes Kepler who on this day is said to have discovered his polyhedral hypothesis whilst teaching his class in Graz Austria. Regarded by Kepler as ‘God’s plan for constructing the universe’ this discovering lead onto extensive literature about how regular polygons are the geometrical basis of the universe.
For this number, Nirvana has constructed the characters from tetrahedrons (one of Kepler’s platonic solids) and drawn them in such a way as to refer to the physicist’s original 16th century drawings.
