We were approached by design agency Don’t Panic to produce an invite for an exclusive innovation event held at New Yorks largest collaboration space- Dock 72.
The invite needed to reflect the urban architecture of the building, made out of mild steel which could be cut and etched to their design. A number of prototypes were produced to ensure that the steel could be cut to shape with sharp clean lines that echo the silhouette of the building and the text was then etched and screen printed directly onto the steel.
A complex outer case was produced out of e-flute to fit the metal invite perfectly, this carton could be mailed out unfolding to reveal a perforated panel which housed the metal invite. Each layer needed to line up perfectly and fit neatly over the metal invite. Careful colour matching was needed to ensure that the iconic yellow print was consistent across all three different materials.
