In 2019 Fred Perry launched a new national tennis championship for under 18’s to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Fred’s first appearance at the Brentham Club, with coaching from Dan Bloxham, the head coach at Wimbledon, and four times doubles champion Peter Fleming.
The tournament winners in each category were crowned Fred Perry Champions. Sporting legend and Fred Perry’s godson, Stanley Matthews, was on hand to award each winner a gold medal.
Nirvana CPH’s Studio and Creative Production teams worked with Fred Perry to design and produce the medal and presentation box. The gold and silver medals were crafted out of solid metal with the iconic Laurel Wreath and tournament details etched onto the face and edge. The clam shell box was wrapped in black plike as a nod to the black courts for the tournament.
