In 2019 Fred Perry launched a new national tennis championship focused on under 18’s to celebrate 100 years on from the first time Fred played at the Brentham club. With coaching from Dan Bloxham the head coach at Wimbledon and four times double champion Peter Fleming.
The tournament took place with matches throughout Saturday and Sunday with winners in each category crowned Fred Perry Champions. Sporting legend and Fred Perry’s god-son, Stanley Matthews was on hand to award each winner a gold medal.
Nirvana worked with the Fred Perry team to help design and produce the medal and presentation box. The gold and silver medals were crafted out of solid metal with the iconic Laurel Wreath and tournament details etched onto the face and edge. The clam shell box was wrapped in black plike as a nod to the black courts for the tournament.
