When Roksanda Ilincic moved into her new Mount Street store in 2016, she wanted a refreshed packaging suite that mirrored the aesthetic of its interiors – designed by her friend and long-time collaborator David Adjaye – and that nodded to the use of geometry and symmetry in her own designs.
Studio Frith were nominated to design the range of packaging, and we worked closely alongside them from the start, from initial concept ideas, material research and design development, to prototyping and production.
The final retail bags were produced from grey board and lined with art paper, with solid blue ABS handles that echoed the trademark Roksanda colour blocks. Swing tickets were produced from white board with a clear toggle, flood-printed on both sides and with a block foil logo. Hangers were manufactured from beech wood and all metal elements were finished with a coloured epoxy matte, bringing a vibrant pop to the smallest of details.
